Legal Notice
A GRADO PROPIO OR UNIVERSITY OWN DEGREE is legally awarded by the recognised university as a sui generis (on its own) academic degree, but is not recognised or accredited and will, hence, not be evaluated as equivalent to an official degree – this refers to professional recognition for the purpose of execution of a regulated profession; or the academic recognition in terms of admission to further studies or promotion to an academic position.
A GRADO PROPIO DEGREE aims at candidates who intend to demonstrate their individual qualification through an academic degree awarded by a real university based on individual skills, knowledge, and merit. Candidates do not need an official professional or academic recognition.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING is conducted in accordance with international standards and recommendations of UNESCO, European Union, or national regulations (e.g., VAE, VES in France).
Disclaimer
We assume no responsibility for the use and recognition of our qualifications by our alumni or by third parties (including employers, regulators, credential evaluators, universities) or the legal use of the degrees in the country of residence or nationality of the alumni.
It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to a programme, or the alumnus of a programme, respectively, to check and verify the external and legal conditions and the individual motivations and requirements on part of the applicant before enrolling in a study programme.
Generally, we expect that the official degrees awarded will be recognised in most civilised countries, while the grado propio degrees are normally not subject to an official recognition.
